Fusion donation supports Macmillan County Ball

Moulton Park-based Fusion Building Systems, has donated £500 to support the costs of
the inaugural Macmillan Northamptonshire County Ball being held on Saturday 11th March 2017 at Wicksteed Park.

Basic RGBAs the first event of its kind ever to be held in Northamptonshire, the Ball hopes to attract
up to 500 guests to Wicksteed Park’s Pavilion for an evening of food, entertainment and fundraising, with all monies raised staying in the county to fund cancer care for local patients.

The £500 donated by Fusion Building Systems, a designer and manufacturer of light gauge steel frames for use in the construction and housing industry, was raised through a corporate outdoor pursuits challenge. As an employer of over 100 people within the Northamptonshire area, the Company was keen to support an event which would directly benefit those living locally.

Mike Fairey, Fusion director, said: “Supporting this local and very worthy event is important to us. The organisers are going to an enormous amount of effort to present an evening which can be enjoyed by so many, with the ultimate aim of raising as much money as possible for Macmillan’s work in Northamptonshire.

“I hope our contribution will help cover some of their costs and I encourage other businesses and individuals to do the same. We will be taking a table on the night and are looking forward to helping make this inaugural event an outstanding success.”

The Ball is being organised by Macmillan fundraising committees in Northampton, Wellingborough and Rushden. Advertising and marketing opportunities are being offered to local companies in return for their support of the event.

Yvonne Rose, Macmillan Northampton fundraising committee member, added: “Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity which is close to the heart of many residents in the county. With the support of local businesses and individuals we want to make sure as many people as possible know about the Ball, so that Macmillan’s valuable work can continue.”

The glitzy black tie event is open to the public and will start with a drinks reception, followed by a four course dinner. Throughout the evening there will be music, dancing and entertainment, including a silent auction to win a variety of lots including a private guided tour of Althorp House by Earl Spencer.

Tickets cost £75 each or £700 for a table of 10. Enquiries should be made to macmillancountyball@gmail.com. For full details about sponsorship opportunities please visit www.northantsmacmillancountyball.com.
