As Fusion enters another year of forecasted double digit growth its partnership with it’s supply chain remains at the heart of its business.
Steve Hall, Site Purchasing Manager, added “Our relationship with O’Dwyer Steel goes back almost 12 years and their ability to work with us throughout the Design, Manufacture & Build stages has been fantastic. In the current climate being able to rely on such an assured HRS partner is proving to provide Fusion a real competitive edge.”
As part of growing the working relationship, staff from the Fusion engineering team visited O’Dwyer’s production unit in Dundrum. The visit allowed the Fusion team to gain a better understanding of the O’Dwyer design processes, capacity for increased volumes as well as a tour of their production capabilities. in addition the visit provided an opportunity to audit O’Dywers administrative processes and paperwork as part of the CE marking process.
Conor Tierney, Snr Structural Engineer says “I was thoroughly impressed with the site visit. From the intake of the steel members at the delivery yard to prepping, cutting, shot blasting, fabrication and welding, painting and output of product every function within the facility had its own work zone and dedicated labour resource. It is easy to see how CE Marking has been achieved”
Matt Ryan, Director, O’Dwyer Steel, very much appreciated the Fusion Team visiting and added “the visit was a great opportunity for our respective key staff members to meet face to face and discuss in an open forum areas of opportunities for us to continually improve our ‘service’ to Fusion’s clients. A number of ideas where raised and actions are underway which bodes well for the continuing excellent working relationship for 2015 and for many years to come”.
