Willmott Partnership Homes (WPH) has appointed Fusion Building Systems as its sole supplier for light gauge steel structures under a framework agreement running for an initial three years.

With a shared objective to drive change in the residential housing market, WPH and Fusion’s partnership will help to demonstrate the capabilities of offsite construction methods as a high quality, volume solution to the UK’s housing crisis.

Tom Salvesen, Fusion Director, said: “We’re delighted to have secured this appointment. Fusion has worked with WPH for almost 14 years and together we have built up a superb legacy of knowledge and experience that creates a real understating of how to optimise offsite manufacture.

“WPH and in particular Chief Operating Officer Charlie Shearer’s, passion and drive to embrace an integrated supply chain under a framework agreement in true partnership as part of an holistic solution to optimise delivery, is a first in the industry. We very much look forward to building on the appointment and to increasing volumes accordingly.”

Now part of Willmott Dixon’s new residential development company Willmott Residential which was formed earlier this year, WPH builds 2,000 homes a year with an expanding geographic presence and strong client base that includes housing associations, developers and local authorities.
