Speed of Build

Fusion has a track record of delivering multiple housing projects at up to 10 units /week on a single site. As the new business models of housing provision emerge where the speed of build is critical i.e. provision of rental housing, Fusion is an ideal and proven solution.

  • Apartments/Flats (up to 10 storeys) at up to 400-500M2 of gross floor area per week (20 NO. 1 bed apartments/week) per site
  • Lowe rise (2/3 storey) housing at up to 10 houses/week per site

Envelope Efficiency

Fusion’s patented pre-insulated external wall system is an excellent basis for creating highly thermally efficient building envelopes – at affordable cost. In addition to low U-values, Fusion offers excellent Psi/Y values, as well as high levels of air tightness and acoustic performance. This Fusion solution is ideal for 2 and 3 storey houses and townhouses.

Catalyst for Step Change

Fusion’s superstructure arguably costs more than a traditionally constructed shell, on a purely elemental comparison. However, the decision to use Fusion will impact on all remaining build costs, time, resources and processes – particularly when thermal efficiency and speed of build are important. Fusion is, therefore, able to act as a catalyst to create step change in build programme and overall costs. With Fusion, the same pot of money will build more houses – better.

Shrinkage/Differential Movement

Fusion’s engineered light gauge steel solution does not suffer from shrinkage or unpredictable differential movement, which affects other forms of construction. This substantially reduces costly remedial works which, in turn, importantly, helps to increase main contractor reputations and the prospect of repeat business.
